Madness!

I have never heard of this movie before watching The History Boys. Which is kinda sad if you think about it. Critics revere this as one of the best romance/drama movies (it’s also in my 501 Must See Movies) and I never really knew about it until Posner and Scripps renacted the ending.

The story is really simple but the effect on you is unbelievable. What if you’re completely contented with your life but somehow, you meet a person who you thinkfeelknow connects with you like no one can? And it all began with the bit of dirty in her eye.

It was more like an emotional affair, although they did kiss. That kiss, by the way, took my breath away. Literally. But it was more like “*gasp* OHNOOOOO!” than “*gasp* aw so sweet!” According to the people who edit the Wikipedia page of the film, the play is more upfront with the implication that they consummated the affair. I think they already did, though.
The kiss, the trysts. Guilty!! In the end, she did come back to her husband and children. Because of the “affair”, she was beginning to lose touch with herself and her children.

All in all it was a good film and I’m glad I had the chance to watch it. And I’ll probably watch it again after watching The History Boys for nth time. I liked Now, Voyager better though. Hehe.
